Lightroom & Capture One Basic Workflow

Professional, customized one-on-one online instruction

Learn how to make your photos pop in Lightroom or Capture One with minimal effort.

Wouldn’t you rather be out shooting or playing, instead of spending hours and hours in front of the screen editing your photos?

Stop wasting time aimlessly moving sliders around. Know what you want your photos to look like when you press the shutter and quickly get there in Lightroom or Capture One.

That’s my philosophy. So I have a concise post-processing workflow that makes my images stand out with minimal steps & time.

This online course is conducted in a webinar format using Google Hangouts. No additional software is necessary.

Who this course is for

This online Lightroom & Capture One course is designed for photographers new to both RAW shooting and Lightroom or Capture One.

You’re also a photographer who thinks that the majority of the creative process happens before pressing the shutter, but you just want to add a little punch with minimal post-processing. If you’re the creative type who wants to do most of their creative work with software, you may be better off checking out other courses.

You may have messed around with the programs before, but you don’t have a basic understanding of why you’re making your adjustments, what they’re doing, or how to get to a desired look.

If you’re just aimlessly moving sliders and hoping for the best, you’ll get a lot out of this course.

How is this course different from others?

We’ll identify your style and then instruct to your style. That’s the benefit of one-on-one instruction. Other courses & videos only teach you how to process to someone else’s style.

What’s covered in this course

This course is very flexible and designed to fit your needs. We can go into whichever topics you want to know more about. But from a beginner’s standpoint, these are the things we’ll talk about in this course:

  • Transferring photos from your camera
  • Organizing photos
  • Selecting photos for edits
  • Knowing your vision & style
  • Geometry corrections
  • Exposure adjustments
  • Levels adjustments
  • Curves adjustments
  • Color balance tools
  • Local adjustment brushes (gradient, radial, brush)
  • Sharpening & noise reduction
  • Exporting photos

This course also includes a cheat sheet/workflow checklist for your reference to use long after we conclude the course.

Lightroom Mobile

Lightroom Mobile is my go-to editing app when I’m traveling and need to quickly work photos. It’s becoming ever more popular as it becomes more powerful and matching the desktop version. We can go over the nuances of Lightroom Mobile as well.

Cost

I have two two-hour modules to choose from. The first is all about organization, and I’d recommend taking this one first. But it’s a la carte. The second is about the actual processing. Both two-hour modules cost $70 each, due at booking.

Military (active duty & veterans) and first responders receive a 15% discount.
