    Great camera for right person
There is a lot to say about The Olympus omd em 10m11 but I will try and break it down to be as short as possible. I have mainly used APS-C sized DSLR’s for a little over 6 years. I needed/wanted a smaller camera due to chronic back and shoulder pain that also caused me to shake a little. I have tried various mirrorless camera’s but something kept pulling me towards the micro 4/3rd’s system. I did a lot of research and felt this should be a great fit. My first impression was that it was an extremely small camera and I had never seen a zoom lens so small before! The body felt well made except for the dials on top and the battery door. They all felt very cheap and every time I picked up the camera for a quick shot, my hand would accidentally turn the exposure dial! The IQ was good , af accurate but the IBIS was temperamental, which was disappointing because that was one of the main reasons I bought the Oly. I only shoot stills so I can’t comment on video. The touch screen was not the best I have used but it works. Canon runs circles around Olympus in that department. The menu is a nightmare. I had to search YouTube for someone who knew everything about this camera and then watch several tutorials. There are menus inside menus and sub menus inside those menus! Lol! You can take, edit and send your photos to your phone all from the camera if you choose to do so. This camera has a ton of features. Some I found useful but the majority of them I would never ever use. In conclusion, for me, this was just not a good fit. I need a main body and this would never suffice. Maybe, if I was willing to take a few months or more to learn the ins and outs of this camera, I would have liked it more but I didn’t want too so that should say it all. I don’t like to do a lot in post so you would think the in body editing capabilities would be great but I found that it took too much time to set up the shot in camera to get the colors right and if you need to shoot a bird or something quickly, you don’t have that time. I added a few photos. The white cat pics were taken at an ISO of 1600 in a semi dark room so it shows its low light capabilities. If you are a beginner, be prepared to have patience. Good luck!

I have been using this camera for around 6 months now and decided to write a review because of how much this little camera has surprised me. I am into hiking so I needed a camera I could carry around all day and that had good image quality. More specifically, I needed a camera that was light on weight, could take RAW photos, and had a decent lens selection. The MFT platform seemed perfect for me so I took a chance on Olympus rather than the GX-7 and I was not disappointed.
    Pros:
Cost of body and cost of lenses (25mm Panny Prime is perfect and 150 dollars)
Selection of lenses (both Panny and Olympus)
Construction of the camera is rock solid and has a nice retro look to it (especially in the silver/ black color)
Video looks crisp and smooth, despite what some people say
The feel of the dials and the layout of all the buttons.
    Picture Quality is fantastic
The company you're buying it from ( LCD stopped working and Olympus had it fixed and shipped back to me within 2 weeks for free)
Live Comp Mode is really cool when taking star trails, will include a pic below taken with the mode
EVF and LCD screen are bright and have almost no delay.
    Cons:
Battery Life, not really a con bc I bought 2 extra batteries for 20 dollars.
Camera can feel small in the hands
AF is not the best with moving targets.
    NAVIGATION SCREEN IS STILL CONFUSING

This camera far exceeds my expectations. Having full control after a few years away using point and shoots or phone cameras is amazing. The quality is incredible and the versatility is inspiring. The menus take some dedication but that is only because there are so many options but when once you have a few favorite setups stored you can move to them quickly. The pre programmed setups work well and manual is easy. Full auto is better than any point and shoot. The stabilization is fantastic. My fully zoomed shot of the moon was hand held and looks tripod steady. This is a great artistic tool and it's small size is welcome. It's well built and the battery door people seem to complain about is no big deal. It's actually normal but not in keeping with the more rugged body. I see this as a perfect camera for any venue.

A great camera capable of amazing image quality. The kit lens leaves a lot to be desired, but the 40-150mm zoom lens is fantastic and I plan to buy a good wide prime.

Ok, so why 4 stars. After watching a YouTube video, I realized that out-of-box settings are not great. White balance is set to be abnormally warm (for some reason), and there's a handful more setting that need to be changed to get the best image quality.
But, once the camera is set up, its awesome.
The kit lens isn't terrible, but its really nothing great either ( I've seen reviews that the kit lens is great... I was disappointed).

All pictures I uploaded were with 40-150mm lens.

AMAZING camera. I did a ton of research on mirrorless cameras before I decided on this one. I have always been a Nikon DSLR person but have always hated lugging the bigger cameras around. Thought I would switch over to mirrorless and am so glad I did! This Olympus takes awesome photos, is super easy to use (I don't know why people have so many issues with the settings...I just played around with them and figured them out pretty quickly!), and the lenses are cheap! I adore it!

I really love this camera after the first couple of weeks of ownership. I haven't had a camera better than a compact digital in many years since my old Olympus film 35mm decades ago, so just getting back into photography. There are so many features on this camera it is unbelievable. I have been watching Rob's videos on YouTube to help me learn about the features of the camera and how to set it up. If you aren't a camera expert and even if you are, but new to this camera, I would highly recommend his tutorial videos for this camera. Pictures seem to be great, image stabilization good. I have no complaints. The kit lens that came with it is fine 14-42mm. I have added another lens to complement this one that i am also really happy with. The new lens is a Olympus 40-150 mm f4.0-5.6. I think you can do almost anything with these two lenses for the normal enthusiast. Looking forward to getting out to some beautiful spots of the Southwest and takes lots of landscape photos with this camera.

Disappointed in a few things. First off Amazon does NOT make it clear that the EZ is the smaller and more desirable lens. The less expensive one is very big and has locks before you can use it so if you want to take a quick shot of something- good luck! By the time you unlock the lens the moment is gone. This is my least favorite part of the camera. I was banking on it being a great travel and quick shot camera. The silver paint is chipping off and I have barely have the camera for a month. I keep it in a case as well. The color of the image is sometimes good and sometimes super saturated. Also the wifi is not as easy to set up as they make it sound! ALSO I read the entire product manual front to back and the table of contents do NOT remotely match up with the content which again is annoying and it took me and my friend hours to set up the wifi to my IPhone 7 . Just not happy. Might be happier with the smaller lens, but do not want to spend more money to try.

I have used this camera for archival research where no tripods or flash are allowed. On a recent trip I took about 60,000 photos and am happy with almost all of the photos. The camera is light and easy to carry. I bought extra batteries and a charger and an additional lens. Over the years I have used everything from an iPhone to a DLSR and think this is the best in-between option that I have found so far. Excellent camera!

Reviewed in Mexico on March 29, 2019
